Coverage
- Certified direct6 states
- Actively growing5 states
- Service area8 states
Certified direct or service area, your report meets the same standard.
"Certified direct" means PTTI holds that state's UST tester certification and runs its own crews and trucks there. In a "service area" state, PTTI extends the same EPA 40 CFR Part 280 testing and the same audit-ready documentation your regulator accepts. New customers in the growing and by-request states are welcome. If your sites are in one of those states, the report you file is built to the same standard as anywhere else.
Six states with direct UST tester certification.
PTTI holds direct UST tester certification in each of these states. Our own techs, our own trucks, our own state cert numbers.

If your site is anywhere else in the West, Midwest, or Plains, ask. We can usually get a crew on site.
Service area questions, answered.
Does PTTI service my state?
PTTI covers nineteen states across the West, Midwest, and Plains. Direct UST tester certification in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Active service expansion in Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Missouri. Coverage by request in New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, North Dakota, Arkansas, Montana, Minnesota, and Kansas.
What's the difference between "certified direct" and "service area"?
Certified direct means PTTI holds the state's UST tester certification, runs our own crews, and operates our own trucks in that state. Service area means we extend the same testing standard and documentation to states where we coordinate scheduling and crew availability based on portfolio size and route economics. Same EPA 40 CFR Part 280 standard either way.
What certifications does PTTI carry across these states?
PTTI holds direct state UST tester certification in the six certified-direct states, plus manufacturer certifications recognized in every state we work: Veeder-Root and Franklin INCON for ATG, Estabrook for tank and line tightness, and PEI RP1200 and RP900 across the board. The same certified standard applies whether a site is in a certified-direct state or a service-area state.
What if my sites span multiple states?
Multi-site operators with portfolios across the West, Midwest, or Plains get consolidated scheduling and unified reporting across all 19 states. Annual line tightness, triennial spill bucket and sump testing, ATG functional verification, and Stage I and PVV testing can all be bundled into route-based visit windows.
How fast can PTTI reach a new state?
PTTI continuously expands service area based on customer demand. New states are added when route density supports them. If your sites are concentrated in a state we don't currently service, contact us. We may be able to extend coverage on a portfolio basis.
